Having invested more than £1million into the company last year, PRV Engineering Ltd  reported a record turnover in 2013. Twelve months on from the installation of the company’s new plating facility, managing director Simon Jones is confident that 2014 will see a repeat performance.

With the company focussed on the construction industry, PRV Engineering is seeking to not only maintain its high standards, but to add a number of new contracts to the order book.

Simon said; “We had our best ever year in 2013, turning over around £4.1million. The plan for this year is very much the same. We want to keep developing and providing the ‘One stop shop’ service on which we pride ourselves.

“As a company we have many qualities, but for now, our focus is on the construction industry. It is something that really excites me and something that has been made possible by the work we have put in over the past few years. It means we have everything in place.

“PRV has the capacity and the infrastructure to take on any construction contract. In the past, we have tended to stay away from the actual construction of buildings. We have added steelwork to buildings like Pizza Hut and Nissan Car showrooms and we have done some support steelworks in hospitals, leisure centres and community centres. But mainly it has been the pretty stuff like glass balustrades, steel stairs and fire escapes.

“We are now more than capable of doing the whole lot as we proved when we built our own building. We did the ground-works and the building too and we have the capability of managing the main contract.

“And the one stop shop is important too. If you want to be in control, you need the ability to do everything yourself. It’s a must for me.”

PRV Engineering Ltd was established in 1986. Since then, the company has expanded and developed its well-equipped 38000 sq. ft. facility in Pontypool, South Wales.
